Mr. Paresh Patel is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of the company and President Insurance Subsidiary Homeowners Choice Property Casualty Insurance Company., subsidiary of HCI Group Inc. is a founder of the company and currently serves as chairman of the Board of Directors and chief executive officer. He was a director of the company since its inception and has served as the chairman of our Board of Directors since May 2007. He has served as chief executive officer since 2011. Mr. Patel is also president of our insurance subsidiary, Homeowners Choice Property Casualty Insurance Company, Inc., a position he held from 2011 to 2012 and reassumed in June 2015. In addition, Mr. Patel is executive chairman of the Board of TypTap Insurance Company, our property insurance subsidiary corporation formed in January 2016 since 2015.
