Mr. Paul J. Brown is Independent Director of H R Block Inc. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Inspire Brands, Inc., a privately held multibrand restaurant company whose portfolio includes more than 4, 600 Arbys, Buffalo Wild Wings, and R Taco locations worldwide, since February 2018. Prior to his current position, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Arbys Restaurant Group, Inc. from May 2013 until February 2018. He served as President, Brands and Commercial Services for Hilton Worldwide, a global hospitality company, from 2008 to April 2013. Prior to that, he was with Expedia Inc., for four years, most recently serving as President, Expedia North America and Expedia Inc. Partner Services Group. From 2001 through 2005, Mr. Brown was a Partner with McKinsey Co. in their London and Atlanta offices. Earlier in his career, he was Senior Vice President of Brand Services for Intercontinental Hotels Group, a Manager with the Boston Consulting Group, Inc., and a Senior Consultant with Andersen Consulting. Education Mr. Brown received a Bachelors degree in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Other Boards and Appointments. Mr. Brown is also a member of the board of directors of J. C. Penney Company, Inc. and FOCUS Brands, Inc., a privately held company. Mr. Brown previously served on the board of Lindblad Expedition Holdings, Inc. from July 2015 until October 2017. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Georgia Tech Foundation, The Woodruff Arts Center, the Buckhead Coalition, and Atlanta200. He has also served as an executiveinresidence at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. since 2011.
