Mr. Alan L. Tallis is Independent Director of the Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. Mr. Tallis has served on our Board since his appointment in January 2013. Mr. Tallis currently serves as the chair of our Compensation Committee and as a member of our Audit Committee. Mr. Tallis is currently principal of Alan L. Tallis Associates, a consulting firm principally engaged in serving the lodging industry. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Stonehill Strategic Hotel Credit Opportunity Fund II. From March 2008 through February 2011, Mr. Tallis served as Executive Vice President, Asset Management for our Company, and from February 2011 through January 2012, Mr. Tallis served as a consultant to our Company. From June 2006 to May 2007, Mr. Tallis served as a senior advisor to Blackstone Real Estate Advisors following its acquisition of La Quinta Corporationrationration. From July 2000 until May 2006, Mr. Tallis served in various positions with La Quinta Corporationrationration, most recently serving as President and Chief Development Officer of LQ Management LLC and President of La Quinta Franchising LLC. Prior to joining La Quinta Corporationrationration, Mr. Tallis held various positions with Red Roof Inns, including serving as Executive Vice PresidentDevelopment and General Counsel from 1994 to 1999 since 2013.
