Mr. Menno V. Koopmans serves as Managing Director, EMEA of the Company. From 2014 to the end of 2016, he was our Senior Vice President for subscription broadcasting business in Europe and India where he led the customer transition into smart remote controls. From 2005 until 2013, he was the head of our worldwide consumer business and our One For All brand. Prior to joining us, Mr. Koopmans worked at Mars, Sony Europe and Royal Philips Electronics in different product, marketing and sales management roles in both fastmoving consumer goods and durable consumer goods categories since 2017.

Universal Electronics Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Universal Electronics' board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Universal Electronics inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Universal. The board's role is to monitor Universal Electronics' management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Universal Electronics' inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects.
