Mr. Marc Parent is Independent Director of the Company since November 7, 2017. He is the President and CEO of CAE Inc., a position he has held since October 2009. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at CAE since joining in February 2005, including Group President, Simulation Products and Military Training Services, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry, having previously held positions with Canadair and Bombardier Aerospace in Canada and the United States. He currently sits on the boards of the Business Council of Canada and the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada . Marc earned a degree in engineering from cole Polytechnique de Montral and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. He was honoured in 1999 as one of Canadas Top 40 under 40 leaders, and holds an Honorary Doctorate from cole Polytechnique de Montral. In February 2011, Marc was named Canadian Defence Reviews first ever Defence Executive of the Year. In 2016, he was awarded the Prix Mrite 2016 of the Association of Polytechnique de Montral Graduates. In 2018, Marc was nominated as CEO of the year by Les Affaires newspaper in Montreal. since 2017.
