Mr. James D. Dondero is the Chairman of the Board, President of NexPoint Residential Trust Inc. Mr. Dondero was President of the Company. Mr. Dondero is also the cofounder and president of Highland Capital Management, L.P., founder and president of NexPoint Advisors, L.P. and chairman of NexBank, an affiliated bank that is majority owned by Mr. Dondero. Highland, NexPoint Advisors and NexBank are all affiliates of NXRT. Mr. Dondero cofounded Highland in 1993 with Mark Okada. Mr. Dondero has over 30 years of experience investing in credit and equity markets and has helped pioneer credit asset classes. Highland and its affiliates currently manage approximately 20.2 billion in assets as of December 31, 2014. since 2015.
