Carlson was a partner of the law firm of Sidley Austin LLP since 1986 and is a member of its executive committee. Mr. Carlson brings substantial experience, expertise and qualifications with respect to U.S. Cellular and the wireless industry as a result of his many years as an investor in TDS, as a trustee of the TDS Voting Trust, as a director of TDS and Chairman of the TDS Board.
