Prior to this, she worked as an economist at the IMF and the World Bank in Washington, DC. She received a PhD and a habilitation in economics from the University of Basel. Since 2005, Ms. Weder di Mauro has served as an independent director on the boards of globally leading companies in development finance, pharmaceuticals, technology and insurance. since 2012.
