Mr. Christopher J. Paucek is Chief Executive Officer, Director of the Company. Mr. Paucek is a cofounder of the Company and has served as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our Board since 2012. He previously served as our President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2008 through December 2011. Prior to 2U, Mr. Paucek served as the Chief Executive Officer of Smarterville, Inc., the parent company of Hooked on Phonics, from 2007 until 2008. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Paucek served as Vice President of Business Development and President of Educate Products for Educate, Inc. In 2004, Mr. Paucek served as Deputy Campaign Manager for the successful reelection campaign of United States Senator Barbara Mikulski. Mr. Paucek began his career in 1993 by cofounding Cerebellum Corporationrationration, the media company behind the awardwinning educational Standard Deviants television program and video series, and he led Cerebellum as CoChief Executive Officer until 2003 since 2012.
