Mr. W. Edmond Busby serves as Senior Vice President Strategy of the Company. He joined the company in December 2015 and is responsible for driving existing strategic initiatives and identifying new growth opportunities for TEGNA. Prior to TEGNA, Busby served as both an independent advisor and as a Partner in The Boston Consulting Groups Media Practice where he served a broad array of media companies and private equity firms investing in the media sector. He also served as the chief commerce officer for Softcard, the carrierled mobile wallet that was sold to Google in 2015. Busby is an active angel investor and has funded startups in the Hispanic media, fin tech, and local ad services sectors. He has also served as an adjunct professor of mobile marketing at Columbia Business School. Busby is a graduate of The George Washington University and holds an MBA in Finance and Media from Columbia Business School.
