Mr. PetterBorre Furberg was appointed Executive Vice President Emerging Asia Cluster at Telenor ASA, effective as of March 1, 2017. He has also been Acting Executive Vice President Head of Digital Businesses since January 1, 2018. He was previously Executive Vice President and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Grameenphone, Bangladesh within Telenor ASA from November 1, 2016 till March 1, 2017. He no longer serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Myanmar at TELENOR ASA effective as of July 31, 2016. He has held this position since October 12, 2015. Since joining Telenor 14 years ago, Mr. Furberg has held a number of senior management positions within the company, including dtacs CFO and Chief Marketing Officer, where he oversaw product development, sales and marketing. He also previously served as Senior Vice President, Head of Financial Services at Telenor Group. Prior to joining Telenor he held senior positions with the Norwegian Parliament and Norwegian Ministry of Finance. Furberg holds a degree in economics and business administration based on a four year program from the Norwegian School of Economics and is a Certified European Financial Analyst . since 2018.
