Chairman
Mr. Francisco de Bergia Gonzalez serves as Assistant to the Chairman of Telefonica S.A. He began his career at Grupo Meli as General Manager of Club Meli and Deputy Financial Officer of Hoteles Meli, after which he held a number of positions, including VicePresident of Marketing for DEFEX, Partner General Manager of Apax Partners, Executive VicePresident and Chief Operating Officer for Cabitel, Head of Institutional Relations for Telefnica de Espaa, and as a director of Antena 3 Television and Cabitel. In June 1999, he was appointed Executive ViceChairman of Fundacin Telefnica, as well as a director of Amper. In October 2000, he was appointed Assistant General Manager to our Chairman by our Board of Directors. He holds a graduate Law degree from the University Autonoma de Madrid. since 2017.
