Mr. J. Chris Verenes is Chief Executive Officer of the Company and Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, positions he has held since January 1, 2012 and January 1, 2011, respectively. Prior to that he had served as President of the Bank since 2004. Before joining the Bank he held a variety of management positions with Washington Group International, an engineering and construction company that manages and operates major government sites throughout the United States for the Department of Energy. He was Director of Planning and Administration from 2001 to January 2004, Chief of Staff during 2001, Director of Strategic Programs for the business unit from 2000 to 2001 and Deputy Manager of Business Development from 1996 to 2000. Prior to his employment by Washington Group International, Mr. Verenes served as Controller for Riegel Textile Corporationrationration, as Director of Control Data and Business and Technology Center, and as Executive Director of the South Carolina Democratic Party. since 2012.
