Mr. John Colgrove serves as a Founder, Chief Technology Officer independent Director of the Company. Mr. Colgrove has served as our Chief Technology Officer and as a member of our board of directors since founding Pure Storage in October 2009. In 2009, Mr. Colgrove served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures, a VC firm. From 2005 to 2008, Mr. Colgrove served as a Fellow and Chief Technology Officer for the Datacenter Management Group of Symantec. Mr. Colgrove was one of the founding engineers and a Fellow at Veritas Software Corporationration, a provider of storage management solutions, which merged with Symantec in 2005. Mr. Colgrove earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University and holds over 150 patents in the areas of system, data storage and software design. Mr. Colgroves qualifications for board service include his industry knowledge and his experience as a founder of Pure Storage, as well as his leadership experience and deep technical expertise. since 2017.
