Mr. John R. Taylor is Independent Director of the Company. Prior to his retirement in 2011, Mr. Taylor has served as a director of the Company since 2018. Beginning in 1973, Mr. Taylor has had extensive experience in providing professional accounting and auditing services to the financial services industry, which includes numerous commercial banks, savings and loans, mortgage banks, mutual funds, trust companies, real estate investment trusts, business development companies and finance companies. Prior to his retirement in 2011, Mr. Taylor served as a senior audit partner in KPMG LLPs financial services practice group based in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Taylor practiced in such group at KPMG for a total of 38 years. During his practice, Mr. Taylor served as the lead audit engagement partner on nearly all of KPMGs significant Southern California publicly held banking and finance clients. Mr. Taylor currently serves on the board of directors of Hope Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary Bank of Hope, where he serves on the risk committee and as the chairman of the audit committee. From 2011 to 2017, Mr. Taylor also served on Hope Bancorps nominations and corporate governance committee and from 2016 to 2017 served on its executive committee. From 2013 to 2014, Mr. Taylor also served on the board of directors of PennyMac Financial Services, Inc., where he served on the audit committee. Mr. Taylor also serves on the board of the USCVerdugo Hills Hospital Foundation. Mr. Taylor received his B.S. Degree in Business Accounting from the University of Southern California. Mr. Taylor was selected to serve as a member of our board of directors because of his significant experience in the public accounting profession, particularly in the financial and real estate industries. since 2018.
