In 1994, Mr. McKinney cofounded Western Gold Resources that merged with Atlas Precious Metals, Inc., a Tucson, Arizona based private mining company that has gold exploration properties in Sonora, Mexico, a Joint Venture on the Karachipampa Lead Smelter in Potosi, Bolivia lead smelter, and zinc, lead and silver exploration properties in Bolivia since 2006.

McKinney was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Atlas Precious Metals Inc. since May 1994. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. McKinney served as a Director of Breakwater Resources, a Toronto Stock Exchange listed zinc mining company; during the same time period, he served on the management committee of Transoceanic Trading Company, a Barbados metals trading company that was a subsidiary of Breakwater Resources.
