Ms. Marianne M. Keler is Independent Trustee of the Company. From 1985 to February 2006, Ms. Keler served in various positions with SLM Corporation and was a member of the Sallie Mae board of directors since April 2014. She served as Sallie Maes General Counsel from 1997 to 2004 and was Executive Vice President for Corporationrationrate Strategy, Consumer Lending and Administration from 2005 to 2006. Ms. Keler was an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 1981 to 1984. She is a partner of Keler Kershow, a private law firm. Ms. Keler currently chairs two nonprofit boards Building Hope, a charter school lender and IAU College in AixenProvence, a study abroad institute. since 2018.
