Mr. David M. Sedgwick is Chief Operating Officer of the Company. He previously served as our Vice President of Operations from May 2014 to August 2018. He is a licensed nursing home administrator and, prior to joining CareTrust REIT, served in several key leadership roles at Ensign since 2001. During 2013, he operated Ensigns newlybuilt Medicareonly skilled nursing facility in Denver, Colorado, and simultaneously supported all of Ensigns skilled nursing operations in Colorado. During 2012, he served as President of Ensigns Marylandbased urgent care franchise venture, Doctors Express. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Sedgwick served as Ensigns Chief Human Capital Officer, with responsibility for recruiting and training more than 100 licensed nursing home administrators and directing Ensign University, which included Ensigns administrator training program. From 2002 to 2007, he operated three Ensign SNFs in two states. Mr. Sedgwick holds a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California. Mr. Sedgwick is Mr. Stapleys brotherinlaw. since 2018.
