Mr. Alan Gardner is the Lead Independent Director of Community Healthcare Trust Inc. Mr. Gardner retired from Wells Fargo in October 2015. Prior to his retirement, he was a senior relationship manager in healthcare corporate banking. He primarily covered national healthcare companies with market capitalization exceeding 5 billion, generally in the pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare services sectors. Mr. Gardner has over 26 years of corporate and investment banking experience, with 20 years covering healthcare companies. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in March 2004, Mr. Gardner was head of healthcare for FleetBoston Financial from 2003 to 2004 and was a managing director for Banc of America Securities from 1996 to 2003. During his career, Mr. Gardner has led a number of significant financing transactions for leading public healthcare companies. Mr. Gardner previously served as board member and president of Omni Montessori School in Charlotte, North Carolina, as Charlotte Chapter chair for the Impact Angel Network . IAN is managed by RENEW, LLC, an investment advisory and management consulting firm based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Washington D.C. and on the board of directors at Christ Lutheran Church in Charolotte, North Carolina. Mr. Gardner earned a B.S. and M.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of Rochester
