Mr. William G. Parrett is an Independent Director of the General Partner of the Company. Mr. Parrett was elected to the board of directors of our general partner effective November 9, 2007. Until May 31, 2007, Mr. Parrett served as the Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Certain of the member firms of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu or their subsidiaries and affiliates provide professional services to Blackstone or its affiliates. Mr. Parrett cofounded the Global Financial Services Industry practice of Deloitte and served as its first Chairman. Mr. Parrett is a member of the board of directors of Oracle Corporationrationration, where he is a member of the finance and audit committee, and Eastman Kodak Company, where he chairs the audit committee. Mr. Parrett was also previously a member of the board of directors of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and UBS AG. Mr. Parrett is Chairman of the board of directors of Conduent Inc., where he is a member of the governance and compensation committees. Mr. Parrett is a Senior Trustee of the United States Council for International Business and a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of United Way Worldwide.
