Mr. Brian Stephen Hook, CPA is the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President and Treasurer of Adams Diversified Equity Fund, Inc., previously known as Adams Express Company. Prior thereto, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Fund and PEO from March 20, 2012 to March 19, 2013, as Treasurer of the Fund and PEO from June 1, 2009 to March 20, 2012, and as Assistant Treasurer of the Fund and PEO from September 2008 to June 1, 2009. Prior to joining the Fund, he was a Vice President and Senior Manager at T. Rowe Price from March 1998 to August 2008, and a business assurance manager with Coopers Lybrand L.L.P. prior thereto.

Adams Diversified Equity Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Adams Diversified's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Adams Diversified inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Adams. The board's role is to monitor Adams Diversified's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. Adams Diversified's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects. On the other hand, Adams Diversified's outside directors are responsible for providing unbiased perspectives on the board's policies.
