Mr. Malcolm D. Griggs is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of the Company. Mr. Griggs was Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer since April 2016. Mr. Griggs joined the Company in December 2014 as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. He is responsible for all credit, market, regulatory, compliance and operational risk management for the Company. Prior to joining Citizens, Mr. Griggs was head of business risk and controls for the U.S. Consumer and Commercial Banking business at Citigroup. Mr. Griggs has had a wide range of risk management responsibility over his banking career, including senior risk positions at Morgan Stanley Private Bank, Bank of America, Wachovia, and as the first Chief Risk Officer at Fifth Third Bank. He also served on the national Board of Directors of the Risk Management Association, including serving as Chairman. He currently serves on the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and RMA Foundation Boards. Mr. Griggs received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. since 2016.
