Mr. John F. Lehman, Jr. is Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Lehman was a Director of EnerSys since August 2004. Mr. Lehman is a founding partner of J.F. Lehman Company, a private equity firm, and was its Chairman since November 1990. Prior to founding J.F. Lehman Company, Mr. Lehman was a Managing Director in Corporationrationrate Finance at PaineWebber Incorporated, served for six years as U.S. Secretary of the Navy, was a member of the National Security Council Staff, served as a delegate to the Mutual Balanced Force Reductions negotiations and was the Deputy Director of the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. Mr. Lehman served as a Director of Ball Corporationrationration, a supplier of metal packaging to the beverage, food, personal care and household products industries which is listed on The New York Stock Exchange, from 1987 until 2015, and since 1992 has served as a Director of Verisk Analytics, Inc., a risk information provider whose shares are traded on the NASDAQ Stock Market. Mr. Lehman was a member of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States. He is also Chairman of the Princess Grace Foundation. Mr. Lehman received his BS degree from St. Josephs University, his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Cambridge University and a Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Lehmans business and government experience provide the Board of Directors with valuable insight into social, governmental and economic issues relevant to our business. This experience is important in qualifying him for service as a member of the Board of Directors. since 2004.

Enersys Leadership Team
