Mr. Thomas A. Pellette is no longer as Group President of Construction Industries of the Company effective March 01, 2019. andd was appointed as Senior Vice President of Caterpillar of the company, Effective March 01, 2019. He is responsible for Caterpillar Construction Industries Segment, which includes the Earthmoving, Excavation, Building Construction Products, China Operations and Global Construction Infrastructure Divisions, as well as Global Rental and Used Equipment Services. Since joining Caterpillars Solar Turbines Division in 1993, he has held a range of sales, engineering and product support positions with increasing responsibility, including significant experience in leadership positions in Europe, Asia and the U.S. Prior to joining Solar, Pellette worked for Tennessee Gas and Leybold Technologies. In 2012, the Caterpillar Board of Directors named Pellette a Caterpillar vice president and the president of Solar Turbines. In January 2015, he was named a Caterpillar group president for Construction Industries, and in January 2017, Pellette was appointed group president of Energy Transportation. He resumed the group president role for Construction Industries in June 2018. Pellette, a native of Los Alamos, N.M., graduated in 1985 from Rice University with a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the Rice University Engineering Advisory Board and is also a board member with the US Chamber of Commerce. since 2019.
